The grout has turned yellow in some places, what can I do?
Yellow stains on the grout are caused by incorrectly mixing the two components (A+B) in FILLGEL PLUS. The remedy to this problem is to remove the stained grout and re-grout that section.
The grout has white stains in some places, what can I do?
White stains on the grout are caused by incorrectly grouting the mosaic tiles with FILLGEL PLUS. Very frequently the cause is humidity between the adhesive and the grout or a lack of pressure during grouting that has left the area with little grout. The remedy is to remove the stained grout and re-grout that section.
The tiles are coming away from the surface, what should I do?
If the tiles have been stuck with an appropriate product and the adhesive and grout have been properly applied, the tiles should not come away from the surface. To remedy the situation correctly, you will first need to find out why the tiles have come away.
The tiled surface is not even and some of the tiles are protruding - is this right?
Bisazza 20x20 mm mosaic tiles are even and this makes the laid surface perfectly smooth as long as they have been properly laid. Any small tile protrusions can be caused by incorrect laying: the tiles not being pressed home properly or if the surface below them was not perfectly smooth before laying began. As regards 10x10 mm mosaic tiles, the surface is much less regular and tiles may protrude slightly.
Some of the tiles are cracked, what can I do?
Cracked tiles can be replaced during laying but before grouting. During the production process, Bisazza glass mosaic tiles are hardened and for that reason therefore any cracks that appear after laying are not due to the tiles themselves, but to movement in the substrate. We recommend that in such case you sample the substrate so as to repair it then lay the mosaic again.
How can I remove excess grout?
With E REMOVER PLUS or a hot air paint remover gun.
